Local fallback

I build clear web products, useful systems, and internet spaces with personality.

A quieter page for how I work, what I value, and the direction I want the work to keep moving toward.

about.txtprofile

I'm Nirmalya Roy. I build web products, internal tools, and small digital systems that are meant to be useful first, but never faceless. I like work that solves a real problem and still carries some personality, whether that means a sharper front page, a cleaner workflow, or a local tool that helps someone make better decisions faster.

Most of what I build sits between product thinking, engineering, content structure, and interface taste. One day that looks like a site with a stronger identity, another day it looks like a scraper, a monitoring utility, or a dashboard that turns scattered work into something usable. I enjoy taking loose, messy operations and giving them shape.

Right now I'm especially interested in building a body of work that mixes public-facing products with quieter systems underneath: editorial pipelines, monitoring tools, automation layers, and personal software that can grow into durable products. I care about shipping and revenue, but I also care about authorship. I want the work to feel deliberate, not mass-produced.

goals.ininext
  • Build a stronger portfolio of products that shows both front-end character and back-end problem solving.
  • Turn useful internal tools, monitoring utilities, and workflow automations into durable standalone products.
  • Publish more case-study style writing about what I build, why it was needed, and how the decisions were made.
  • Keep improving at the mix of product judgment, engineering execution, systems thinking, and interface craft.
